Isolate
What Is CBD Isolate?
CBD isolate is a type of hemp extract that contains only isolated CBD...and none of hemp’s other active ingredients.
Unlike the other major types hemp extracts (full spectrum and broad spectrum), however, CBD isolate is not an oil. It’s a white, crystalline powder. High-quality CBD isolates can be up to 99.9% CBD.
That’s right: CBD isolate contains no THC, no trace cannabinoids, no terpenes, no flavones, and no phenols. It doesn’t even contain hemp’s oils and waxes.
As you might imagine, these deficiencies mean CBD isolate misses out on much of the entourage effect. For some people it’s far less effective than fuller-spectrum alternatives.
Researchers at the world’s leading cannabis research laboratory have found that CBD isolate may be up to four times less potent per milligram than other hemp extracts. [1]
CBD Isolate
CBD isolate has no taste. There are none of the earthy, spicy, hempy overtones you often get from less refined hemp products. On its own CBD isolate tastes and smells like...nothing. CBD isolate may still work well for some people. While only one person can decide which type of hemp oil is best for you, it’s our hope that this info has made your choice easier.
